New Youth Support Service to assist young people and their families in the Somerset and Lockyer Valley
July 20, 2015
ICYS Ipswich Community Youth Service will expand its support to vulnerable young people after being awarded funding by the Queensland Government to deliver the Youth Access and Support Service (YASS) to young people aged 12 to 18 in the Somerset and Lockyer Valley regions for the next three years.
Designed to provide an access point for young people, their families and other stakeholders to access information and referral to relevant services in their community, the Youth Access and Support Service will also provide individual case management support and will coordinate integrated multi-service responses to young people most in need. Young people aged 12 to 18 requiring assistance connecting with services to assist with family, education, employment, homelessness, health and other concerns will be able to access the service from mid-August 2015.
