2023-2024 Annual Impact Report

The 2023-2024 financial year posed challenges, with some of the highest numbers of young people accessing support in areas such as homelessness and sleeping rough.

In December 2024, our AGM was held, seeing some changes for the ICYS Management Committee. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the year that was, seeing huge growth across housing and homelessness service provision and sadly an increase in demand for support.

ICYS is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Ipswich community, supporting young people and the leaders of tomorrow across school based programs, diversion and outreach, youth support, employment and training and housing and homelessness.

In December 2023, ICYS Ipswich Community Youth Service celebrated their 40th year providing assistance and support to children and young people, their families and their communities across five local government areas.

We celebrated 40 years of ICYS at our Annual General Meeting Birthday Breakfast in December, and launched our 2022/23 Annual Impact Report in a room filled with sector friends and supporters. You can read the full report here and we have a snapshot of our impact below.

For 40 years we have navigated the waves of funding losses and gains, new staff, expanded locations and new opportunities, and we are in our strongest position in 40 years. We look forward to riding the waves of the next 40 years in the amazing communities we passionately work and live.
