Activities Worker

ICYS seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Activities Worker.

Title: Activities Worker

Program: All ICYS Programs

Hours and Term: 30 hours/week, casual, fixed-term contract to the 29th January 2021 (possible extension)

Location: Based at the ICYS Head Office in Ipswich and other ICYS offices as required/requested.

Award: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (QLD TPEO rates) Level 2.4 (currently $38.68/hour)

The Position: You will be responsible for coordinating a range of activities across all programs at ICYS.  Activities will involve coordinating afternoon/evening youth drop-in (attendance at these may be required one or two nights/week), school holiday activities, community activities & events, assisting with school-based activities and more.  Social media expertise will be looked upon favourably.  You MUST be dynamic, energetic, creative and have the ability to be flexible in your delivery of programs. 

Experience in a similar role and/or demonstrated transferable skills are essential.  The minimum qualification for this position is a Certificate IV in Youth Work, or an equivalent or higher qualification.  However, if you do not hold this minimum qualification, you must be able to demonstrate your understanding and experience providing activities for vulnerable and disadvantaged cohorts.
